The purest expression of our vineyards, Caiarossa shows all the complexity and the nobility of our land. The seven varieties in the blend weave together a perfect tapestry of the estate’s terroir. A true expression of the luxury of nature.
Varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Alicante.
This is very fine and polished with berry, chocolate and lemon rind character. Medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. A blend of cabernet franc, merlot, syrah and cabernet sauvignon. Delicious now.
The 2015 Caiarossa is expressive and profound. A lot of dark fruit intermingles with spice and toast in what is an immediate and open wine. This is a complicated blend of Cabernet Franc (31%), Merlot (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (17%), Petit Verdot (11%), Sangiovese (10%), Syrah (9%) and Alicante (2%). The result is full, generous and tight but with a subtle tingle of volatile acidity at the close. Some 37,800 bottles were made.
This is concentrated, with vanilla, cedar and toast notes framing black cherry and plum fruit. The tannins are present and well-proportioned, lending support without dominating. The length reveals the potential here. Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Syrah, Alicante. Best from 2020 through 2030. 3,150 cases made, 1,500 cases imported.
